Amorgós

Amorgos is packed with breathtaking sandy and rocky beaches that are located beneath imposing cliffs or lush hillside. MONASTERY OF CHOSOWIOTISSA: Byzantine monastery of Chozoviotissa, which is a masterpiece of ecclesiastical architecture, built into a Cliffside. The icon of Virgin Mary, located in the Monastery, is believed to be the work of Luke the Evangelist.

NIKOURIA AND GRAMVOUSSA ISLAND: These small islands offer beautiful sandy and pebble beaches.

PANAGIA EPANOCHORIANI: Church in Langada.

MINOA: There are ruins of an ancient city on the hill of Mountoulia.

AGHIOS GEORGIOS VALSAMITIS: According to the folklore legend, a holy water was located on the site from which prophecies were made. It is a three-aisled basilica with a roof in arches. The view from there towards Katapola is amazing.
